Bluebird Trails
Did you know golf courses were prime real estate for bluebirds?

The Eastern bluebird has been the official state bird of Missouri since 1927. The bluebird is considered a symbol of happiness. ​

How and where we Started!
​Trail One
- 10 boxes -7 on St. Peters Golf Course, 2 adjacent to the golf course and one at Rabbit Run installed November 3, 2021.
                         19+ successful fledgling in 2022
Trail Two -  5 boxes at Old Hickory Golf Club
​installed December 5, 2022.

Trail Three - 7 boxes at Whitmoor Golf Course
installed March 12, 2024
And we just keep going!!

It really does take a village to manage a successful bluebird trail (see below).
A big thanks to our bluebird teams for all the time and effort they put in!!

Many of the bluebird houses on our trails are made by our bluebird expert Ron Darling, a member of the Missouri Bluebird Society. He is always willing to share Information on how to make your own bluebird house, as well as provide advice on attracting and caring for bluebirds and maintaining a bluebird trail.
