Learn what kind of house they need, the foods they eat along with interesting facts on what we can do to increase the songbird population! ________________________________________________________________ 11:30 am - "Snakes!" Speaker: Jennifer Rodriguez is back by popular demand so get up close and personal with live native Missouri snakes! - Be sure to bring the kids to this one! This experienced snake handler will focus on native snakes of Missouri and North America. She may even help you overcome a fear of snakes when you learn about the myths and misconceptions regarding snakes and how important they are our ecosystem. ________________________________________________________________ 12:30 pm - "Bees" Speaker: Three Rivers Beekeepers Beekeepers will fill you in on fascinating facts about the private lives of bees and how to help our gentle bees survive and thrive in your yard and our community. ________________________________________________________________ 1:30 pm - "Formal Landscaping with Natives" Speaker: James Faupel of Bellefontaine Cemetery will show you how to enhance your front yard formal landscaping with attractive native plants that that will bring song birds, bees and butterflies to your yard.
